HEY ALL. MY BABY BOY IS SICK (RUNNY NOSE & COUGH). SO ON SAT I GO TO WALMART TO BUY INFANT TYLENOL..IM LOOKIN & LOOKIN & NOTHIN..SO I ASK AN EMPLOYEE WHERE IS THE TYLENOL. SHE SAYS "IT HAS BEEN RECALLED FROM OUR SHELVES SO WE ONLY CARRY THE GENETIC BRAND." SO NEXT DAY I GO TO WALGREENS THINK, "OK, I SHOULD FIND IT HERE." WELL, THEY DIDNT HAVE IT THERE EITHER. THEY HAD NO INFANT MEDICINE ON THEIR SHELVES! SO THEN I WAS PISSED OFF. I MEAN I STILL HAD WHAT WAS LEFT BUT WOULD NEED MORE. TYLENOL WAS MY ONLY MEDICINE I USED WHEN MY BABY WOULD GET SICK. CANT BELIEVE IT WAS RECALLED, UGGHHH! SO DOES ANYONE KNOW WHY IT GOT RECALLED??? IS THERE OTHER NON PERSCRIBED MEDICINE TO USE FOR INFANTS???
Auh...cough syrup...if not the same thing as the one your talking about. And um...they may have some type of night and day quill for them too.
If it's been recalled at Wal-mart, you're not going to find it anywhere else. It's not a good idea to go looking for it; it's probably been recalled for a good reason.
Hi,
I used infant motrin which is the same thing as Ibuprofin (not sure of spelling) because for my daughter when she was younger it seemed to keep the fever away longer and more effectively. I don't know if it was recalled too or not, but maybe you could try and see if they have it? When my daughter was a little older I used Dynotap, which is a cold medicine for kids, and my mother used to give it to us when we were young, although nowadays all the cough syrups and cold medicines all say "for 6 years and older" or "for four years and older" which is crazy because my mother as well as a lot of parents that have had children in the past used cough syrup for their kids younger than that without a problem.

Editor's Note: On May 4, 2010, the FDA cited more than 20 manufacturing problems at the Fort Washington, Pa., plant.
May 2, 2010 -- Manufacturing defects have led to the recall of 43 child and infant liquid formulations of Tylenol, Motrin, Zyrtec, and Benadryl by McNeil, a division of Johnson & Johnson.
No injuries or deaths have yet been reported. The voluntary recall follows an April 19 FDA inspection of a McNeil plant in Fort Washington, Pa. that uncovered "manufacturing deficiencies," the Washington Post reports.
The company says the chances of injury from one of the recalled products are "remote." Yet consumers are warned not to use the recalled products.
"Some of the products included in the recall may contain a higher concentration of active ingredient than is specified; others may contain inactive ingredients that may not meet internal testing requirements; and others may contain tiny particles," a company news release states.
If children who have taken the recalled products have unusual symptoms, parents are urged to contact a health care professional.
Parents should not give children adult formulation of the medications. Alternative brands of the products, including generic medications, are available. Parents who have questions about alternative treatments should consult their child's pediatrician
